Doug's straightforward style is tempered by a variety of successful business experiences. He began his career as a University instructor. In the early eighties he joined a major oil company, developed a number of new technologies and merged those into a startup business unit. The business grew rapidly providing M & A opportunities. In the late eighties he became the managing partner of a large job shop servicing hundreds businesses in the Chicagoland area. Before forming Sunbelt Business Brokers of Greater Chicago, he served as an independent business consultant in the area of international joint venturing. Doug is a member of the International Business Brokers Association, The Society of Business Analysts and the National Equipment and Business Brokers Institute. He is an IBBA Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and has the further distinction of carrying both the SBA (Senior Business Analyst) and CMEA (Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser) designations.
